Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems
Midland Fire have been providing reliable fire alarm systems for 20 years. We specialise in fire safety systems and offer a complete design, installation and maintenance service.
Your Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) will help determine the right system for your business. We can install a wide range of systems including conventional, addressable, aspirating and wireless systems.
Fire Extinguishers
Fire Extinguishers are a first line of defense against small fires and when used correctly prevent a fire from spreading. Midland Fire have been providing fire extinguishers, fire blankets and accessories to customers since 1999.
We work with our customers to ensure the right fire extinguisher is specified and positioned so it is easily reached in the event of an emergency.
Emergency Lighting
BS5266 part 1, requires that emergency lighting systems are able to provide light for 3 hours following the loss of mains power. Your company’s named Responsible Person is legally responsible for ensuring the safety of the occupants of your building.
Our team of life safety engineers will work with you to identify the main escape routes and areas of low lighting within your building and install adequate emergency lighting.
PA System/Voice Alarms
Traditional bells and sirens only act to provide a warning to the occupants of a building. The exact nature of the warning may not be clear. A voice message informs the occupants exactly what to do in an emergency and it is a long established fact that people respond more quickly and are more likely to take the correct action during an evacuation if voice messages are used instead of tone sounders.
Midland Fire can install both voice alarm and PA announcement voice alarm system ensuring that occupants know what to do in an emergency.
Emergency Voice Call Systems (Disabled Refuge)
It is a legal requirement that all new non-domestic buildings with more than one storey must provide ‘refuge’ areas for occupants that may need help during the evacuation of a building.
A disabled refuge emergency call system allows the person waiting for assistance to speak directly with personnel in control of the evacuation. This can provide reassurance, keep the person updated with the situation and confirm that help is on its way.

Midland Fire offers a full electrical contracting service including system design, installation and maintenance.
We are NICEIC Approved Electrical contractors. Our electrical engineers are trained to the latest BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations.
