Midland Fire moves to state-of-the-art headquarters in Burton On Trent
After 25 years of excellence in Fire and Life safety we needed somewhere with the space and capacity to grow our team of Fire Alarm Engineers, Electricians and Administrators. We’re proud to say that our new headquarters is a reflection of how far our company has come and how bright our future looks as we continue to grow.
The new office is a modern, purpose-built space that better supports our team, our customers and our long-term ambitions. It’s located in the heart of Burton-on-Trent (169 Hawkins Lane), which places us firmly at the centre of our local community and amongst those we’re looking to serve, something which has always been really important to us.

The new office offers a lot more space as well as better-equipped meeting rooms and a relaxed open plan office to improve day-to-day operations and our future development. The property we chose was a blank canvas, meaning we could make it exactly how we wanted. So we created a workspace that reflects our ethos – professional, welcoming and built with care and attention to detail.
Moving to a more central location was also important to us, and being in the centre of Burton On Trent now makes the business more accessible for clients, partners and staff, while reinforcing our long-standing commitment to the local area.
State-of-the-art Training Facilities
Our new training room brings the outdoors indoors by taking the term skylight a little too literally. Fitted with the latest conference technology and bespoke training boards – The new conference room is the ideal place to deliver our CPD certified technical training courses.
A Sustainable future
Working with AZM Energy, the building has been fitted with a 35.6Kw solar array, which is expected to produce most of the energy that we will use in the office. We have also installed electric car charging stations to support the future electrification of our fleet.
On the inside, high-efficiency LED lighting with motion sensors help reduce our energy consumption on a daily basis.

As a local business we couldn’t have made this happen without help from our local network of trusted traders and suppliers. We’ve used local services wherever possible and the result is a high-end and professionally finished work premises ready for future growth.

Cytra were our main contractors for the new office, making up the team that pulled all the building work and decoration together. John Thompson managed the project including dry wall and partition installation, kitchen fitting, ceiling grid, painting and finishing. Cytra also oversaw the work carried out by other local contractors like Evat and Forest Supplies. It was a pleasure having John and the team involved, and they produced an impeccable working environment which will allow us to keep growing as a company.
Hardy Signs
One of the standout features of the new headquarters is our internal and external signage delivered by Hardy Signs, giving the office a distinct Midland Fire brand identity.
Hardys also provided our “sky light” (pictured above), window graphics and reception signage with preserved Moss background. Come and see it for yourself!
Harrison Property & Garden Services Ltd
Harrison Services refreshed our building’s external cladding to a modern fresh anthracite grey, as well as providing some block paving work and fencing to the external areas.
Evat Plumbing and Heating Ltd
Evat carried out essential plumbing work to a high standard, making sure our building operates efficiently and reliably. They also helped install the toilet and showering facilities.
Precision Stairs & Joinery Ltd
Precision built and installed our beautiful oak staircase with glass panels. The stairs lead to our open plan office – completing the entrance to the building.
Forest Architectural Supplies Limited
Forest provided the internal doors, including fire doors, door furniture and door closers ensuring the building meets current life-safety standards.
AMR Services
The extremely efficient team at AMR supported our physical office move, getting the bulk of our equipment across town to our new office and helping set everything up on arrival including the desks and warehouse racking.
ORS UK Burton
ORS supplied our office furniture, including a mix of used and new items – supporting our commitment to sustainability and responsible procurement.
Abbey Architectural
Abbey Glass delivered and installed our glazing works, including a DDA-compliant automatic entrance door, professionally integrated with our life-safety and access control systems to provide seamless operation, accessibility and regulatory compliance.

AAC designed and installed our air conditioning system, ensuring a comfortable, energy-efficient working environment throughout the building.
